Ghana is a peaceful and stable democratic state in western Africa. Cooperative economic projects, which try to solve the actual problems of living in Africa, are mostly targeted to other states, which have more western media coverage cause of imminent military or political conflicts.

Kids have not that many chances in Ghana after primary school education. They live and work on streets, just selling something to survive. Actual extreme rate of unemployment destroys any chances to gain a better living. Higher education is rare and basically inexistant for comon people. The way out: Emigration to Europe.

We want to organize in an - peaceful - African state a project for "Help for Help yourself". Young people in Ghana should have a chance in their home country. One possibility would be a practically orientated secondary education, to startup small businesses later and maintain knowhow by themselves.

In Ghana transport is solely run by cars and trucks. Train connections - also for heavy goods - are bad. Most vehicles are imported from Europe. Garages are rare and pricy.

AGT wants to startup and run a non-profit education garage in Kumsasi (Ghana), educating fifty to sixty students. Both girls and boys shall have a modern education on automotive technic, based on international standards and focused on local needs. Education will last for 3.5 to 5 years. The garage shall also offer housing - campus - to students.

Teaching personell shall be recruited mostly from Ghana. Some Austrian staff - minimum "master automotive" - will have the chance to spend teaching semesters in Ghana, a beautyful African country with rich artistic roots and friendly, international orientated people. For that AGT will offer an exchange program.

Funded through sponsorships, money shall be administered in a foundation. For that we want to gain partnerships in Austrian automotive industry: For financial funding, services, machinery and practical logistics.
